1975-2000:
The Effort of  The New Age Movement and the Counter-effort of the Chemical Counterfeit Enlightenment of the 60s

Who are the agents of the Brotherhood in this last quarter of the 20th century? Possible candidates are:

Baghwan Sri Rajneesh. Indian Guru. Combining eastern spirituality with western psychotherapy and materialist hedonism.

Sai Baba. Indian mystic and magician.

Sri Aurobindo. Indian mystic, yogi and philosopher.

Benjamin Creme. British prophet alleges to be send by Maitreya to announce his coming in 1982.

Lucis Trust. Alice Bailey's legacy. Claim direction of the Masters.

Krishnamurti (1895-1986). Indian mystic and religious teacher. Especially since 1975 he claims messianic status.

David Spangler. British theosophist and author. Cofounder of Findhorn.

Ken Wilber. American thinker and author. His first book, The Spectrum of Consciousness, was published in 1975 by the Theosophical Publishing House.

Jane Roberts. Channeler of The Seth Material.

Helen Schucman. American psychologist and channeler of A Course in Miracles.

Mark and Elizabeth Prophet. American religious teachers.

This timeline is predicated on the assumption that Mark and Elizabeth Prophet are genuine agents of the Masters and the books mentioned are important milestones in the New Age.

Founding of the Summit Lighthouse by Mark Prophet.

1961

Founding of the Keepers of the Flame Fraternity by Ascended Master Saint Germain

1962

Founding of the Findhorn community by Peter and Eilleen Caddy and Dorothy Maclean.

1969

1975

Mount Shasta conference of The Summit Lighthouse. Conference lectures and dictations later published as The Great White Brotherhood in the Culture, History and Religion of the United States. Publications of The Chela and the Path by El Morya, Raymond Moody's Lifer after Life and The Spectrum of Consciousness by Ken Wilber.

1976

Revelation, the Birth of a New Age David Spangler and The Tao of Physics by Fritjof Capra.

1980

Wholeness and the Implicate Order by David Bohm, The Aquarian Conspiracy by Marilyn Ferguson

1981

A New Science of Life by Rupert Sheldrake

Mark Prophet (1918-1973). American religious teacher and mystic. Founder of The Summit Lighthouse. Messenger of the Adepts.

Elizabeth Clare Prophet (1939- ). American religious teacher and writer. Leader of The Summit Lighthouse and Church Universal and Triumphant between 1973 and 1999. Messenger of the Adepts.

Birth of Krishnamurtianity

1943

Albert Hoffman inadvertently synthesizes LSD at Sandoz laboratories, Basle, Switzerland.

1950s

Coming of the Beatniks, Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Neal Cassady. Sex & Drugs & Rock-and-Roll part of the counter-culture. CIA administers LSD to different marginal population groups.

1954

Publication of The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley.

1960

Establishment of the Center for Research in Personality by Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert.

1966

Creation of the Brotherhood of Love, which organized the mass-marketing of LSD.

1968

Publication of The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe.

1969

Publication of The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui way of Knowledge by Castaneda.

1975

Krishnamurti: The Years of Awakening by Mary Lutyens. Lutyens' hagiography more or less claims a messianic status for Krishnamurti.

1976

Krishnamurti's Notebook by Krishnamurti. Most extraordinary journal of this iconoclastic mystic.

1977

Truth and Actuality by Krishnamurti. Author claims messianic status. (ca. `When the Lord is here the Masters keep silent.')

1986

Krishnamurti dies. Besides his numerous books and videos his legacy is a network of foundations, schools and video/dialogue groups, which are the spiritual foundation of a new religion and civilization in the making.

Aldous Huxley (1894-1963). British author and intellectual. Friend of Krishnamurti. Wrote important foreword to Krishnamurti's First and Last Freedom (1954). Experimenter with hallucinogenic drugs. Wrote The Doors of Perception.

Anton La Vey. American Satanist. Founder of the Church of Satan. Incarnation of Lenin and Loyola. Influential in rock music and lyrics.

Timothy Leary (1920-1996). American psychologist and Counter-culture guru. Popularized the use of LSD.

Carlos Castaneda. American author and anthropologist. Author of the fictitious Don Juan books.

Ken Kesey. Counter-culture guru and writer. Popularized the use of LSD with his Merry Pranksters, the Magic Bus and the Grateful Dead.

Jiddu Krishnamurti (1895-1986). Mystic, philosopher and religious teacher. Head of the Order of the Star in the East (1911-1929). Groomed Messiah. Fiercely independent spiritual teacher. Founder of Krishnamurtianity and the Theosophico-Krishnamurtian civilization?
