This principle is close to the Principle of the Centennial
Effort. Some Centennial Efforts can build on the success
of its antecedent, like the 1175-1275 period building on
the success of 1075, and the 1475-1575 Efforts building
on 1375. Some work out Contingency Plans, like the 1375
Effort with Rosenkreuz being a Contingency Plan for the
failed Gothic Age and the 1675 start of the Enlightenment
being a Contingency Plan for the failed Rosicrucian Renaissance.
Question is whether the Contingency Plan with
Ballard and those following him will constitute a continuation
of the Theosophical Enlightenment or will stand on its own.
My feeling is that the HPB-Leadbeater-Ballard-Prophet story
should be seen as a continuum, with a problematic intermezzo
with K's World Teacher Project. It might turn out that the
HPB-Leadbeater-K story will be seen as a unit and the Ballard-Prophet
story as a separate, though related story.
